Healing Gardens — Community Guidelines

Effective Date: 6/26/26 | Last Updated: 6/26/26

These Community Guidelines describe how everyone in the Healing Gardens community—Hosts and Guests alike—is expected to behave on and off the Healing Gardens platform (the "Platform"). They are incorporated by reference into the Host Terms of Service and the Guest Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in those Terms. Violating these Guidelines may result in content removal, cancellation of bookings, suspension, or termination, as described in the Terms.

Healing Gardens connects Guests with independently owned gardens, farms, and outdoor spaces ("Gardens" or "Hosts") for private experiences, ticketed events, and venue rentals. These are real, working outdoor environments, and our community works because people treat each other, and the land, with care and respect.

1. Our Core Commitments

Everyone in the community agrees to act with the following principles in mind:

  • Safety first. Look out for your own safety and the safety of others, including children, animals, and the land.
  • Respect. Treat every person with courtesy and dignity, free from discrimination and harassment.
  • Honesty. Be accurate and truthful in listings, reviews, messages, and bookings.
  • Care for the land. Protect the gardens, plants, animals, and ecosystems that make these spaces special.
  • Reliability. Honor your commitments—show up, host as described, and communicate promptly.

2. Non-Discrimination and Inclusion

Healing Gardens has a zero-tolerance policy for unlawful discrimination. No member of the community may refuse to host, refuse to book, harass, or treat any person less favorably on the basis of race, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, familial status, source of income, age, or any other characteristic protected under applicable law. Hosts must reasonably accommodate Guests with disabilities and may not refuse legitimate service animals, consistent with the ADA and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act, even where a no-pets policy otherwise applies.

3. Respectful Conduct

We expect everyone to keep interactions safe and respectful, both in person and in Platform communications. The following are prohibited:

  • harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or stalking of any person;
  • hate speech or slurs, or content that demeans a person or group based on a protected characteristic;
  • sexual harassment, unwanted sexual advances, or sharing of sexual or intimate content without consent;
  • violence or threats of violence against people, animals, or property; and
  • conduct that is intoxicated, disruptive, or unsafe, or that interferes with others' enjoyment or safety.

4. Guidelines for Guests

As a Guest, you agree to:

  • follow all posted rules, signage, and the reasonable instructions of the Host and its staff;
  • supervise any minors in your party at all times and never leave a child unattended anywhere in a Garden, including near ponds, water features, animals, tools, or parking areas, consistent with the Guest Terms of Service;
  • drink responsibly where alcohol is permitted, never become intoxicated, never provide alcohol to anyone under 21, and never drive or operate equipment while impaired;
  • stay within designated areas and out of restricted or hazardous areas;
  • not remove, damage, or consume any plant, produce, or property without the Host's express permission;
  • respect the Host's home, neighbors, quiet hours, parking, and any capacity limits; and
  • leave the Garden in the condition in which you found it.

5. Guidelines for Hosts

As a Host, you agree to:

  • describe your Offering accurately and keep listings, pricing, capacity, hazards, and availability current;
  • maintain a safe environment and disclose reasonably foreseeable hazards in your listing and at check-in;
  • comply with all applicable laws, permits, and the safety rules in the Host Terms of Service, including the prohibitions on open flames and the alcohol and minor-supervision requirements;
  • honor confirmed bookings, communicate promptly, and avoid last-minute cancellations;
  • clearly disclose any audio or video recording devices on the premises, consistent with the Host Terms of Service and applicable privacy law; and
  • report incidents, injuries, and emergencies as required by the Host Terms of Service.

6. Listings and Content Standards

Content you post to the Platform—including listings, photos, reviews, and messages—must be accurate, lawful, and your own (or used with permission). The following content is prohibited:

  • false, misleading, or deceptive information, including fake listings or bait-and-switch pricing;
  • content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
  • spam, scams, phishing, or off-Platform solicitation that circumvents the Platform;
  • sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise inappropriate imagery; and
  • content that reveals another person's private information without consent.

7. Review Integrity

Reviews help the community make informed decisions. Do not manipulate the review system. That means no fake or incentivized reviews, no retaliation for honest feedback, no trading of positive reviews, and no reviews based on factors unrelated to the actual Offering. Reviews should be honest, relevant, and free of discriminatory or harassing content.

8. Animals, Children, and the Land

Gardens are living environments. Treat animals humanely and follow the Host's instructions about interacting with livestock, pets, or wildlife. Keep children supervised and away from hazards at all times. Do not introduce plants, animals, or substances that could harm the Garden's ecosystem, and follow any rules about foraging, harvesting, or feeding animals.

9. Safety and Emergencies

In any emergency, contact 911 or local emergency services first. Hosts must report serious incidents to Healing Gardens as required by the Host Terms of Service, and Guests are encouraged to report safety concerns promptly. Never attempt activities beyond your ability, and stop any activity that feels unsafe.

10. Reporting Violations

If you witness or experience a violation of these Guidelines, report it to Healing Gardens at support@healinggardens.co. We review reports and may take action consistent with the Terms, including removing content, cancelling bookings, or suspending or terminating accounts. We aim to protect the people who report in good faith from retaliation. Urgent safety threats should always go to local emergency services first.

11. Enforcement

Healing Gardens may take any action it considers appropriate for a violation of these Guidelines or the Terms, including warning a member, removing content or listings, limiting account features, reversing or withholding payouts where permitted, cancelling bookings, and suspending or terminating accounts. The level of response depends on the severity, frequency, and circumstances of the violation. Serious safety violations may result in immediate removal without prior warning.

12. Changes to These Guidelines

Healing Gardens may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform, by email, or both, and your continued use of the Platform after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
